Make a Donation to the Children of Bolivia
Our organization receives no funding from any government. Nor do we want to. We believe that helping the less fortunate is a personal responsibility that should be carried out of one's own will.
This means that all our centers and orphanages, currently numbering 23, rely on private sponsors. There are two kinds:
1) Sponsors of individual children
If you choose to become one of these, you will receive information from and be able to communicate with your own sponsor child. Our child sponsors donate the equivalent of Euro25/USD 30 per month, which can also be paid quarterly, semi-annualy or once a year. Many choose to add a similar amount twice a year for Christmas and birthday presents. If you do, you'll receive a photo of your child along with the presents that have been bought. You'll be amazed how much a nominal amount can buy in Bolivia!
2) Project sponsors
This includes any contributions not made to a specific child. Our principle is that those contributions are used solely to cover the running expenses of the day care and education centers and orphanages.
This means that for any kind of project, we rely on additional sponsors. These may certainly be private persons, but are also often schools, kindergartens, businesses or other organizations. Contributions may be one-off, or done repeatedly.
Some projects are large, such as the orphanage for 48 children we are currently building in Potosi. Mid-size projects may be acquiring a bus to transport the children of an orphanage, constructing a second storey for an existing building, adding a PC lab, or providing job training courses for a large group of youngsters. Small projects are carried out all the time; repair and maintenance on buildings and furniture, purchasing a water pump, fixing broken toilets, replacing a stove or a refrigerator...
Sponsors of both categories include private persons, school classes, kindergarten groups, Rotary and similar associations, businesses....
